Our Code
Very little gets done in a technology-based business without software. The abstract nature of language means many ways exist to say the same thing, even in code. However, not all expressions of the same idea are equal. In other words, like other languages, some code "clauses" will have greater receptivity to change and adaptation, stronger syntax, and superior clarity.
Good code - code that is standardized and meticulously produced - forms the backbone of a successful engineering department and its products. Good code, just like a good engineering department, must be flexible, functional, and fathomable. Code that fails to meet these requirements limits the software, which in turn limits the business. Poor code will result in extra expenditure to revise or rewrite problems and will limit its accessibility to future readers.
Robustness, improved efficiency of development and code execution, and reduced maintenance costs are the three goals of GG's standardized coding style.
By providing its clients with pristine code, GG ensures the longevity of the code. Long after GG ceases to maintain code for a client, the code will remain readable and functional.
